In order to promote the exchange on Chinese and international medical device regulations and company the formulation and revision of the Regulations for the Supervision and Administration of Medical Devices and the related regulations, China Center for Pharmaceutical International Exchange held the China International Medical Device Regulatory Forum from September 7 to September 10, 2010 in Beijing. Bian Zhenjia, Deputy Commissioner of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), was present at the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a speech on the medical device regulatory system and the implementation of medical device laws and regulations in China, further enhancement of the international exchanges on medical device supervision, and implementation scientific supervision.

The relevant directors of the Department of Medical Device Supervision of SFDA, the Department of International Cooperation of SFDA, the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of SFDA, and 10 national-level centers for medical device testing, experts of related disciplines and representatives of medical device regulatory authorities of various countries, standardization organizations and relevant medical device enterprises, totaling about 700, were present at the forum.
