On September 11, 2014, Yin Li, Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), met with the delegation led by Chris Hickey, Country Head of U.S. FDA China Office, and Pam Bailey, President of Grocery Manufacturers Association. Both parties exchanged opinions on strengthening cooperation in food and drug supervision. China National Food Industry Association president Shi Xiushi and directors of relevant departments of CFDA attended the meeting.

After the meeting, Vice Minister Yin Li attended the signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding between China National Food Industry Association and Grocery Manufacturers Association. Representatives from food regulatory departments, food industry associations and enterprises of both countries also participated in the signing ceremony.
