SFDA Commissioner Shao Mingli met Swedish Minister for Children and the Elderly and signed bilateral MOU

On the afternoon of November 23, 2011, Shao Mingli, Commissioner of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), met with the visiting Ms. Maria Larsson, Minister for Children and the Elderly, Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of Sweden, and Mr. Lars Fredén, Ambassador of Swedish Embassy in Beijing and their entourage. SFDA Commissioner Shao Mingli introduced China’s drug regulatory system, and signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Food and Drug Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Medical Products Agency of the Kingdom of Sweden with Mr. Mats Larson, Chairman of Medical Products Agency of Sweden. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of medical products supervision.
After the meeting, the Department of International Cooperation of SFDA hosted the seminar between the SFDA and the medical industry of Sweden.
