On July 11, 2011, Bian Zhenjia, Deputy Commissioner of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), met with the visiting Mr. Zhang Tiefu, Director General of Social Work Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. (LOCPG), and Mr. Cheng Yiu-tong, President of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, and their entourage. Both sides exchanged opinions on the status of food safety in the Chinese mainland as well as the supervision of health food and the supervision over the food safety in catering services.
