FDA approves Actavis’ Donepezil Hydrochloride 5mg and 10mg tablets

Actavis, an international generic pharmaceutical company, today announced that it has received approval from the US Food & Drug Administration to market Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets a generic equivalent of Aricept®. Shipment will commence immediately.
Donepezil Hydrochloride Tablets 5mg and 10mg had US total sales of approximately $2.3 billion for the 12 months ending March 31, 2011, according to IMS Health.
