The Telegraph reports that when "UNICEF began publishing prices agreed with suppliers for a range of vaccines over the past decade, ... some companies - including GSK, Novartis, Intervax and Crucell - did not initially allow disclosure."
Now, GlaxoSmithKline is "working with UNICEF to enable retrospective publication of prices, as well as disclosure of future prices and expects these to be published on the UNICEF website within the next fortnight. Intervax had been awaiting additional information and, having received that, expects its prices to be published when the website is next updated. But Novartis and Crucell said they did not disclose prices with the former saying the information was proprietary" (Cooper, 5/14).
